Just over 120 adults and children came through the doors of the church during the course of the evening, and the majority had a really good time.
The main church hall was set up for lights and dancing, with a smaller room being used as a quiet space for those that didn't like loud noises.
The end room of the church was used as a craft room, where children could make some sweet treats, glowing lanterns and also do some painting.
We provided free hot dogs, biscuits, hot and cold drinks and sweets which all went down well, and every child was given a sweet bag with a tract inside. We actually ran out of the bags that had been made up and so had to improvise with paper bags and sweets and biscuits in them!
We had a good number of volunteers to make it work well, and the timeframe of 5pm to 6.30pm sort of worked, although some did not leave until nearly 7pm anyway!!
