Heike’s story

In 2018 when my oldest was almost 7, she asked if we could go trick or treating. I saw it as an opportunity to go and meet our neighbours! So I baked pumpkin muffins and off we went. Every house that opened their door was offered a baked treat back, which was gratefully received, and opened the door to further conversations and connections. This has now become our family tradition. We go trick or treating and I bake.
